"IF I WERE MAYOR FOR A DAY" - CONTEST

In the second celebration of Local Government Week, October 18 - 24, 2009, Council and Administration for the Town of Cochrane wishes to play an active role in this campaign.  As such, we have invited students in the elementary schools (Grades 4-8) and secondary schools (Grades 9-12) in Cochrane, as well as students who are in the home school curriculum to participate in an essary writing contest.  

The essay, entitled “If I Were Mayor for a Day” should be from 100 to 150 words in length. The submission will be judged on its creativity, vision for the community and suggestions to current issues that affect the Town of Cochrane. 

There will be one winner from each the elementary and secondary levels. The winner in the secondary division will chair the Committee of the Whole meeting with Mayor Martin on October 26, 2009.
